THAILAND 3 HONG KONG 0

Thailand gave an early warning on its strength when it defeated Hong Kong 3-0 in the Group A match in the 4th Asian School Hockey Championship at the Azlan Shah Stadium last night.

Thailand now is at the top rank in Group A defeating Singapore and Sri Lanka with the advantage of 3 goals.

However, it was not an easy victory for the Thais since they had to wait until the second half before they could overcome their opponents who gave them a tough fight in the first half.

Pasakorn Wadtuma opened the scoring for Thailand at the 3rd minute when he sent a powerful hit passing the goalkeeper, Muhammad Ali Khan from a penalty corner hit.

17 minutes later, the Thais captain Tanwa Yongtong scored a goal through another penalty corner hit. Later, Theppithak Namkhot hit a field goal at the 61st minute to complete the Thais victory over Hong Kong.
